Hummingbirds are maybe the birds that most attract people, especially by its small size, beauty and plumage (in the majority of the species) and its velocity and agility.
    Besides, these little birds live in almost all the places where they are distributed, being found also in the big cities and near houses.
So people can attract them for observing better.
    For bringing them and making them staying near us there are two main forms:
- planting trees that give us flowers, mainly the red ones as:Erythrina speciosa, Calliandra spp,Malvaviscus arboreus and Inga spp.    Some other white flowers as eucalyptus (Eucalyptus spp) and Citru spp.
- Putting drinking fountains as little bottles of water and sugar.
    This way, flowered gardens are a big attractive for these birds that look for the flowers nectar.
    The drinking fountains done of plastic bottle or glass with an orifice where water with sugar goes, must be extremely clean and washed daily, because the accumulated dirty proper the development of fungus that kill the birds.
    If there are a lot of hummingbirds in the place, going to them, the better to be done is putting a lot of bottles, because they are territorialist and a lot of times start fighting, in a way that one of them dead by the hurts.
    In the drinking fountain must be put 20% of sugar and the rest of water, preferable filtered or chloride.
    Important observation: if you stay some days in your country house, take off the drinking fountains when you go away, for not being dangerous for the little birds, because the water after some days will ferment and with some insects rests, will become really poisoned pots.
