BIRDWATCHER FOR A DAY
2. Knowing Birds II- Campos do Jordão Stative Park - SP
In October, 6th, 2001, the Environmental Program: The Last Noah's Ark has promoted with APAMAGIS a walk and birds observation in Campos do Jordão Stative Park.
The ornithological trip occured from 9 to 12 o'clock, providing interacting among people from different ages, and 50 birds spedies were observed.
The 40 people group, composed by alomost all APAMAGIS associated was guided by the Judge and birdwatcher Antonio Silveira. The participants could know a little bit about the recreative activity that birding is, and which is practiced by bout 80 million people around the world.
Important detail is that the observations in this walk will be contacted to Birdlife International, for the World Birds Count, supported in international character by this entity.
This was one of the environmental consciouss way used by the Environmental Program: The Last Noah's Ark, beig part of the project: BIRDWATCHER FOR A DAY.

At the end of the activity the group was visited by Campos do Jordão's Major, showing the importance of this activity.
