Urban Esthetic: importance and protection
As it is known by us, in the antique cities of the medieval time, for example, there wasn’t the preoccupation of the administrator related to hygienization and not also with the city’s coming more beautiful. The cities used to be people’s accumulations distributed in houses that were built without any esthetical busy.
With the humanism growth, mainly, the cities started to be observed as habitation joints, also important in relation to life’s quality of its inhabitants.
Just on the end of the last century, the urbanism science started to be formed as scientific subject, mainly at the USA and Europe, emerging the preoccupation of the students related to the urbanistic problems. This way, the perception of necessity in rethinking about cities reformulation grows. It’s created the concepts of urban spaces, as it also appears the first ways of town planing, that were first stimulated by the combat of epidemics, building drain’s nets.
So, as the urbanism grew as a science, it had been emerging the first rules of urban order, which made the cities having to act in a different way, controlling their way of life. The cities were not person’s gathering anymore, being now edifications joints, relatively planned and directed by the functional necessity.
As urbanism has been developing, urban esthetic became valued a lot, mainly in the cities that are more civilized, becoming one of the objectives of modern urbanism.
So, esthetic urban, as one of the constitutive elements of artificial and cultural environment, must be balanced and protected.
