PROJECTS, PROGRAMS AND ORGANIZED INITIATIVES OF PRESERVATION OF THE BRAZILIAN FAUNA AND FLORA
This page is dedicated to the spreading of projects, programs and initiatives of preservation of the wild life and the flora, mainly of the threatened species of extinguishing.
As if its known, the worldwide degradation of natural inhabit is affecting many animal and vegetal species, taking them almost in extinction, in the way spreading of preservation initiatives is very important.
Therefore, this is the reason for we deciding to start this space for such purpose.
- PROJETO MARLIM
Created in 1993 in the Institute of Fishes (São Paulo Agency of Technology of Agronbusiness-APTA), in Santos, it studies biology and fishing of peak fish (sailfish), in the Southeast and south of Brazil. Bracket of the " The Billfish Foundation-USA ". The main objective is the conservation of these fishes in the Atlantic Ocean. Yachts clubs participate of this project (Yacht Club de Ilhabela-YCI, Yacht Club of the River of Janeiro-ICRJ, Blue Coast Yacht Clube-CAIC and Iate Club of the Espirito Santo-ICES) and other national and international agencies of research also. In Rio de Janeiro, it has the coordination of the Biologist Eduardo G. Pimenta. The main results are the awareness of the sportive fishers who liberate all sailfish and marlins. Protection and reproduction of the sea turtles, monitoring 1000 beach km, with 21 bases covering 8 Brazilian States, and they are divided into areas of feed, mixing areas of spawning of fishes areas.
