    The family mustelidae is composed by 23 genus and 65 species, occurring all around the world, except at India West, Madagascar, Sulawesi, and the west islands, mainly Philippines, New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, Antarctica and in the big part of the oceanic islands.  (Nowak, Ronald M. Walkers Mammals of the world. 5th ed. London: The Johns Hopkins University Press, 1991).
    They are carnivore animals and big predators, being pursued a lot by this reason and also by their fur, unfortunately used for clothes.

Greater Grisón; Galictis vittata;Furão
Little Grisón; Galictis cuja;Furão
River Otter; Lutra longicaudis; Lontra
Giant Otter; Pteronura brasiliensis;Ariranha
