BIRDWATCHER FOR A DAY
Know and be part in our project for birdersPROJECT INSTITUTION TERM
Considering that birwatching is an extraordinary leisure way and cultural improvement, besides providing cool time in contact to nature and being, also, a good occupational therapy;
Considering that environmental conscious is growing a lot and that watching birds helps to this process, for putting people directly in contact to environment reality;
Considering that birding, which is known worldwide as birding or birdwatch, is becoming one of the biggest tourism sources, as there are around 80 million practitioners, and consequently a big economical source;
Considering that everyone must collaborate to environmental conditions improvement and that it is one of our mainly aim;
Considering that this Environmental Program has been periodically realizing outdoor activities for birding, instituting an organized way called "Knowing Birds" and that is important ruling them and making them more frequent and with regular periodicy.
THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM: THE LAST NOAH'S ARK officially institutes in this opportunity the project "BIRDER FOR A DAY", which will be realized as follow bellow:
1.- The project consists in outdoor activities for birding, coordinated by its idealizer Antônio Silveira, with groups in a minimum of 3 people and maximum of 50;
2.- The outdoor activities will be in natural areas and /or in public parks in the cities, always with set dates;
3.- The group of birders will prepare a short report, where will write about the relation of birds that were seen, calling them by the popular and scientific names;
4.- There will be no fees for the event, and the expenses with locomotion, lodge, feed etc. will be responsibility of each participant, and can be shared if it is the case;
5.- The one who has a natural area in his small farm or farm can collaborate or participate putting at our disposal the place for the activities;
6.- As every October 5th is celebrated the "Bird National Day", there will be, if possible, near this day an event "Birder for a Day", disposing the risen data to the world bird counting realized by international entities;
7.- It is incorporated to this project the event "Knowing birds in the Parque Estadual da Cantareira" realized in 10.07th.00, to APAMAGIS (Judges' Association of São Paulo) members.São Paulo, October/ 2001.
