Deers (Cervidae)

    Introduction
The Family Cervidae is composed by 17 genus and 45 species, occurring in North America, South America, Eurasia, North Africa and in the big majority of islands in these countries.
The mainly characteristics of the species are shyness, because they are lonesome and afraid of everything. There is a reason for it, because they are animals that are practically defenseless and are predated by almost all the carnivores.
The male is different from the female because he generally possesses horns in branch form, and also for being bigger.
They are animals that are difficult for being seen in nature, mainly into forests, because they avoid man a lot.
Almost all species are threatened of extinction, as their habitats are decreasing and are hunted a lot.
Here in Brazil occurs 8 species, and the ones from genus Mazama are really alike.
